How to use it
- Pick the portal. The size limit fills in from its official help page; change it if your upload field says less.
- Add every page of one document: photos, scans or PDFs. Reorder or remove pages and type the file name.
- Make the PDF, check that the pages read well, download it, then press Next document.
Worth knowing
- IRCC upload fields take one file each, so every page of a document has to be in one file. This tool makes exactly that.
- IRCC suggests 96 or 150 DPI for documents made from images. Pages here are drawn at 150 DPI or less, and the result says which.
- USCIS asks for a full English translation, certified by the translator, with any document in another language. Upload the original and the translation as the form asks.
- Name each file after what is in it, for example Lastname_Firstname_Passport. Spaces and symbols are swapped for underscores.
- MB here means 1,000,000 bytes, the stricter reading, so the file fits either way.

Questions
What is the IRCC upload size limit?
It depends on the account: 4 MB per file for the IRCC secure account, online citizenship, asylum and Permanent Residence portals, and 5 MB for the IRCC Portal. IRCC adds that some fields allow as little as 2 MB.
What is the USCIS file size limit for online filing?
USCIS says each file must be 12 MB or less, in PDF, JPG or JPEG (TIFF for some forms), without a password.
Can I mix photos and PDFs?
Yes. Add phone photos, scans and PDFs in any order; each PDF page becomes a page of the result.
Is the text still searchable?
No. Pages are saved as images to reach the size, which is fine for scans, IDs and certificates.
